Christian Retreat Resorts' GREEN PROGRAM involves employees, guests and suppliers incorporating Social and Environmentally Responsibility as a Philosophy of Business, to assure its commitment with the Sustainable Tourism.

Christian Retreat Resorts' conservation efforts promotes a balanced, healthy lifestyle choices, ecological and conservation practices and educational enrichment which curb the negative impacts of human involvement while conserving natural resources and the environment, producing ecological and sustainable benefits.

CRR's The Bloom located in Costa Rica has implemented significant efforts to incorporate into their daily processes sustainable practices including The Bloom's Carbon Neutral Program which assists in Costa Rica's goal of becoming the World's first carbon neutral country by 2021.

CRR's GREEN PROGRAM focuses not to damage or deplete the Earth's natural resources while demonstrating less damage to human, animal, and plant health, as well as less damage to the world, in general by offering a solid ecological component, organic food when possible, conservation policies & practices on site including participation in recycling, production of clean power & water where possible, with electric vehicle use encouraged & charging stations on site.

Green technology provides CRR with products which can be reused and recycled.

The use of green technology (clean technology) will reduce the amount of waste and pollution that is created during production and consumption.

CRR's Purchasing Programs will insure that most of the products purchased for maintenance and guest consumption are innocuous to the environment, biodegradable, recyclable or reusable.

CRR's Waste Management expects less than 8 % of the total solid waste should be sent to the municipal collection center as we encourage our guest and employees to recycle paper, plastic, aluminum and glass by using the special containers found in the general areas.

Organic waste can be supplied to local farmers to be used in live stock feed.

Green is a fundamental part of Christian Retreat Resorts' philosophy and is clearly shown through our participation in local reforestation programs.
